Moulin des Pionniers is an exceptional historic site featuring an old saw mill, built in 1904. It’s made entirely of wood, measures 15 by 15 metres, and is driven by raging waters. A proud symbol of the colonial era in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, this hydraulic sawmill operated for more than 70 years.
You’ll also discover a mechanical workshop and its historical forge, enjoy comfort foods in a centennial home restaurant, and explore our enchanted, child-friendly forest.
If the mood strikes, stay in one of two beautiful chalets on site. An exclusive opportunity to go back in time!
