ASSI-NIPI: EARTH-WATER AWAKENING

TO THE CONJUNCTURE OF THE ELEMENTS

Born from the spin-off of Camping Plage Robertson, Assi-Nipi (Earth – Water) is a new regenerative tourism enterprise offering a transformative experience of symbiosis between nature and humanity. Located in the Ilnue community of Mashteuiatsh, between the Véloroute des Bleuets (certified Bienvenue Cycliste) and a sandy beach on the banks of the Pekuakami, the campground boasts a stunning site that respects ecosystems.

Assi-Nipi’s exceptional offering of eco-friendly accommodations in the heart of a nurturing forest showcases the knowledge of the Pekuakamiulnuatsh (the Innu of Lac-Saint-Jean), who have lived in harmony with the environment for millennia.

You’ll find intimate lakeside, woodland and nursery campsites, a variety of Ilnu-inspired ready-to-camp units and hanging tents, a product unique to the region.

Various workshops based on the Ilnue perspective are also offered. Themes include permaculture, herbalism, food, composting, compost toilets, ecological design and more. You’ll be able to share around a fire and cook on site in our summer kitchen.

Regenerative tourism goes beyond sustainable tourism in terms of the positive impact it leaves on the host environment and on visitors. You’ll leave with a different view of the world, a new way of looking at the environment and interacting with it.

From the site, you can visit the Eshkan boutique (500 m), the Ilnu Museum and the Uashassihtsh site hosting the Grand rassemblement (2.5 km), La traversée du Lac de Roberval (8.5 km), the St-Félicien zoo (26 km), and the Val-Jalbert historic site (21 km).
